What are the Food options onsite?

Amidst the ferns in Geelong Botanic Gardens is ‘WYM’, a family-owned café. Open late for the Soirees, indulge in locally sourced pastries, specialty coffees, teas, and a tempting array of homemade picnic cheese and dip platters, wraps, and toasties.

You are also welcome to bring take-away food or a picnic.

You must put your rubbish in the bin – or take it home. We do not have the resources or capacity within our small budget to pick up after you.

Is there shade in the viewing area?

Yes there is a lot of shade in the viewing area from large trees. Best to come early so to reserve a good spot in the shade. We have organised a number of beach umbrellas you can get from the ticket desk to use during the event.

Is the event free, do I need a ticket?

The event is not free, we rely on ticket sales to meet our large expenses including venue hire, musicians, crew etc. That said we change the minimum amount we can possibly manage as we put this on for the good of the community. Tickets can be booked at geelongjazz.com

What can I bring?

You may bring your own standard sized camping chair (low-to-ground chairs recommended). High back (deck/camping) chairs are permitted, however you must sit at the rear of the venue for the benefit of others.

You are permitted to bring a supermarket sized cooler bag and picnic into the area.

Wear sensible footwear.

Bring sunscreen and a hat!

For sunny days make sure you wear a wide brimmed hat for protection and bring sunscreen with you.

If the forecast is for rain please bring suitable shoes and a poncho or raincoat.

Can I bring alcohol?

Can I bring the kids?
